The Flumserberg route takes you from the Sargans express train stop to the Flumserberg via Flums without any changes. Enjoy the unique skiing and hiking area with magnificent views and the beautiful landscape of Heidi’s homeland.

Flums–Flumserberg every half hour
Every 30 minutes between Flums and Flumserberg from 14 December 2025:
- Monday–Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. (all year round)
- Daily from 20 December 2025 to 8 March 2026: from 6 a.m. to 7.30 p.m
- Friday and Saturday evenings from 26 December to 7 March 2026: new late connection at 10.45 p.m. from Flumserberg to Flums.
Connections in Flums to the IR35 Interregio train “IR35 Chur–Zurich–Bern” and to the S17 towards Ziegelbrücke–Rapperswil. In Sargans, there is an hourly express train to Zurich and Chur. There is no winter sports bus (route 439).
Travel freely on a Postbus
All passengers on the Flumserberg can travel freely by Postbus:
- Winter season from 13 December 2025 to 6 April 2026 on the Flumserberg, Bergheim to Flumserberg, Tannenboden section.
- Summer season from 6 June to 18 October 2026 on the Flumserberg, Tannenheim to Flumserberg, Tannenboden section.

In Flums, near Lake Walen, you’ll discover the tradition of carving masks in the Sarganserland Mask Museum. To the west of the village are the impressive ruins of Gräpplang castle. You can also visit the Church of St. Justus and the Chapels of St. Jacob and St. George.
In winter, you can enjoy the varied ski area with slopes to suit all levels. Snowboarders will love the fun parks, while cross-country fans can enjoy 18 km of ski trails. There are two children’s parks, and 26 kilometres of well-prepared winter hiking trails offer plenty of variety for winter hikers.

Winter fun for young and old on the Prodalp
The 3 km long sledging run from Prodalp to Tannenheim on the Flumserberg is ideal for kids and adults alike. The illuminated slopes on this run at night offer a unique experience. And why not enjoy a delicious cheese fondue in the Prodalp mountain restaurant before taking on the thrilling descent.
Winter hiking and snowshoeing
Discover the Flumserberg with a leisurely winter hike or an exciting snowshoe tour. Along the way, rustic Alpine restaurants, relaxation benches and sun terraces invite you to linger.
